The room was fine. The biggest issue was that the fire alarm in the room went off at 630 AM waking us up, but there was no fire or smoke. When I called the front desk they said they couldnt do anything until maintenance arrived at 10. It did stop randomly going off around 7.

Brandon was exceptional, helpful and friendly. Gave lots of ideas of places to go in the area and even stops to make in the way home. The rooms, however, need updating. The fan in the bathroom doesn’t work, Brandon cleaned out the ac unit so it was colder and the lamps could be changed out to have usb plugs on them.

The gentleman who worked the front desk during our stay was fantastic! He was super welcoming, helpful and friendly. I could tell he put a lot of effort into getting things taken care of - which we dont often see when we travel, so I alwasys like to share this when I see it. The property is older and would benefit from updates, but aligned with what I expected from this tier of hotels and the price point, which was a value. The breakfast offerings were also limited, but it sufficed. The location is great - it's a quick walk into downtown and to the shore where we viewed the sunset behind the bridge.

Dirty looking towels, no soap in some of the dispensers. Bright lights shining in the windows at night. Over all a dingy feeling to the whole property. The only upside was that they had a hotel room that slept 5 ppl: two queens and a twin bed.

I would never stay in this particular hotel again. It was doable because we had no choice once we got there but,I would not recommend . The hall ways on the stairs were rarely vacuumed, our smoke alarm was yellow with age, the tub had some paint missing, the lights in the pool were not turned on for the first two days we stayed. You had to use a key to go in to the stair well, but the elevator going up could be accessed by anyone. Also the bed in our room had an end sticking out were my son in law and grandson both cracked there toes on it. Also the hot water was a pain half the time. I was very displeased

Nothing can be blamed on front line staff when it comes to this disgrace of a hotel. This is a matter attributed to owner/management. The rooms were in a horrible state with stains on the floors, carpets, etc. The bathrooms, plaster, and fixtures were rusted and falling apart. Breakfast was disgusting and consisted of a picture of Fruit Loops taped to a plastic dispenser, an unplugged waffle maker, along with a coffee and juice dispenser, both of which weren’t functioning. I rarely leave bad reviews, but this hotel was just appalling.

Paid for a bridge view room on the third floor. We could see it but it was far from picture worthy. The upstairs hallway is narrow, if you walk past other people with luggage it becomes a problem. The room was nice and well stocked, clean. The beds however killed me and my back. One night on the bed and I felt like I had been hit by a car. The pillows provided were also rock hard, and unyielding. I won't be back again.

Upon check in two members of the staff were arguing about something. This was not a screaming match but there was definitely a problem between the two. Very unprofessional and not really the best first impression. Rooms were clean (that’s about the extent of niceness). Ice machine didn’t work, we couldn’t get hot water. There no lights (in or around) the pool or else they didn’t work. Breakfast was available. Seeing a gallon of milk, and a jar of peanut butter and jelly in the fridge for communal use is not my ideal choice for breakfast. My name will not be on that register again anytime soon.

The property was run down, dingy, and stunk. It was hard to sleep because the smell was so strong. The cover on the bed was dingy grey, was supposed to be white. The towels were thin and shouldve been replaced. There was some sort of electric heater in the bathroom that looked like it had been beaten up. It was not worth it. It felt unsafe and dirty. Nice place to stay for a few days. The staff is wonderful. There was a happy 20th anniversary sign in the room when we arrived. The bed was very soft, (not my preference) but was still comfy. We stayed in a handicap room, due to my disability. The room was quiet, except for our first night. It sounded like there was someone practicing parkour. The hotel was within walking distance of downtown. The breakfast was mediocre. ( bagels, toast, sausage, waffles, cereal and yogurt) The large containers of peanut butter and cream cheese, was a bit gross. I saw a child lick the knife they used and dip it in the other container. We avoided the breakfast after that due to being on immune suppressants. I do recommend this hotel and will stay here again in the future.

The parking lot is not well lit and there is limited parking for the amount of rooms.

This property needs a facelift. Everything worked but everything was old and under-maintained.

Our room was clean. The parking was fine.

Apart from that it’s kinda crammed, musty, and just… old. The elevator feels dicy. All the fans make too much noise. The climate control is all or nothing.

It’s cheap. So, that’s also a consideration. I think for the price it was okay but if you’re expecting anything beyond that… don’t.

There were stains on my sheets of which I texted the staff with no response back. I would never stay here again. The breakfast was good however it was a packed Saturday morning and they had one woman working the front desk and breakfast. This is poor management and they need to do better by her and the facilities. The pool was nice and big however, the chairs and tables around the pool were stained old and just felt dirty everywhere you went there.

The parking lot was very very tight to park your car in and it almost seemed as if there weren't enough spaces. The television didn't work so I just watched my phone. I fell asleep with the lights on and when I woke up in the morning the other bed had bugs on it that flew into the room because they were attracted by the lights. I'm not sure how they got in. Maybe the window was open however, I didn't open it. I would definitely not be staying here again. I will gladly pay more next time I'm in Mackinaw. Breakfast was very basic but edible.

Upon arrival i had to phone the hotel clerk, which he said he'd be there in a minute, which took about five, and after a long 12 hour drive, it was not ideal at midnight to have to wait. Lobby was super small, and no access to our room from there. Had to go back outside to access the elevator. If youre looking for anything to drink, look farther because all they had, in a very inconvenient spot in the stairwell of all places, was an ice machine with nothing else to go with the ice. No cold running water in the room, which was a big negative. Personally, id never stay at this place again.
