My mom and I loved our room and found it very convenient since the beds are separated by the bathroom. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony looking at the water. All of the staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel offers discount coupons to outside restaurants since they don’t offer a restaurant on site and a free shuttle to take you to/from the ferry. My only complaint is their hot tub. The jets do not work and the handrail is not very secure. My mom slipped in while grabbing the handrail so that definitely needs to be fixed. I will definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

The view was great, it was quiet in the room. The balcony needs cleaned as well as the room. Lots of bugs and cobwebs. Would have been nice to have a reclining chair in the room, there was enough space. Also the WiFi was useless in my room. They need more access points in the hall. Overall a good stay.

Our room was very clean with a nice little a little lakeview balcony with two chairs over the water. We were just steps from Lake Huron. Polite and helpful staff. Enjoyed having a mini fridge and microwave. Also, it was great to have two sinks, one inside and one outside the bathroom. GORGEOUS SUNRISES!

The overall experience was okay. The bathroom needs a whole renovation considering the mold on the ceiling above the bathtub in many areas and on the shower head. If I had a chance, I wouldn’t use the bathtub. The room had bugs all over the ceiling and the walls. I don't think anyone closed the window completely shut. I really loved the balcony view (that was the best experience).

Staff was super nice and very helpful but, the room amenities definitely need updating. There were dead ants behind the fridge..along with a microwave that didn’t work well. Mattresses were very hard too. The beach was beautiful but, most DEFINITELY needs some maintenance/ground crew.

Ideally situated for a short walk into Mackinaw City. Room was fairly large with enough storage for our needs. The bathroom was fairly small but sufficient space for toiletries. I reported the issue to the front desk, and it seemed like they were already aware that the holder/handrail was wobbly.

We stayed at this hotel in Mackinac and unfortunately had a bad experience with the hot tub area. I fell at the hot tub because the holder/handrail felt very wobbly and unstable. That’s a serious safety concern, especially since people use hot tubs when the ground is wet and slippery.

On top of that, the jets in the hot tub didn’t work, so it wasn’t even usable as expected.

I reported the issue to the front desk, and it seemed like they were already aware that the holder/handrail was wobbly. The hotel really needs to fix the unstable holder/handrail and repair the jets before someone else gets hurt.

Water dripped from ceiling in bathroom. 1 of 3 lights over bathroom sink worked. Light in King bedroom had no bulb. No “do not disturb” sign for door. No lid for ice bucket. However, for only two people that are pretty self-sufficient, the stay actually went pretty well. Dining room for breakfast felt like the heat was on though.

For a hotel that was supposedly built in 2010, this place felt very dated with some minor updates. As far as the room, the mattress were very stiff, thin boxspring mattress on a platform base. The aircondition squealled while it ran; however, it was cool enough during our stay we did not really need the A/C. The beach was horrible. It needed to be raked, the grass was grown threw the sand and the seagul poop was everywhere. The side door to exit the hotel to the beach area had a bunch of clutter stacked up. Old buckets, plastic bins, broken plastic furniture and hold wooden fencing just lying on the ground. This place definitely needs some TLC. If you stay, skip the breakfast. Powdered eggs, frozen re-heated pancakes, some cereal, bread and cheap pastries. All in all, wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel I stayed at down the road wasnt buf invested like this 2 nights before. The property needs to be treated for bugs. Also the bathtub was not clean. Slug came out of the drain lever. Breakfast was scrambled eggs and they tasted fake. No meat left and old. Microwave pancakes.

Room wasn’t the cleanest, sheets were extremely rough. Hot tub was very dangerous and dirty, Black dirt around the walls, steps had slick film on them, black no slip strip was scraped off. Hand rail was not secured and wobbled around. My friend actually fell trying to get into the hot tub because the hand rail moved and the step was extremely coved with a slick film. She hurt her Left knee and it swelled up. We reported this to the front desk staff and asked for a bag so we could ice her left knee. The front desk staff called management and they didn’t seem to care.

Worst experience of my life and I travel frequently. I have never had an experience like I had here. The hotel rooms were dirty, moldy and bug infested the bed sheets were yellow and the smell was awful to the point we left. The staff was some of the worst people I’ve encountered. We were told to “eat the money” and suck it up by the GM when we went to leave because we refused to stay there. We didn’t even ask for a whole refund just for the second day. Don’t waste your time or money with this place.

Overall, this hotel was good for the amount I paid for it. The location was great and had beautiful views of the bridge and island. The room itself was quite large and mostly clean, except for some crumbs on a few surfaces. Definitely a good place for families looking for a more affordable, spacious place to stay with fun amenities. Staff was available and willing to help if needed. I would recommend staying here if looking for a place to stay in Mackinaw City.

Loved being on the beach, opening the window and hearing the waves. Loved having the bathroom separating the 2 beds, so there is some privacy. Having laundry facilities was nice although I did not use them. Hotel offered discounts on the ferries, butterfly experience on Mackinaw Island, dining and other events. It’s our first time coming to the area and by looking at the photos of the property, we thought our stay going to be great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. When we first checked in the room, it looked pretty nice and clean. However, when we returned after dinner and initial wipe down, like we always do, we found :
1- the toilet seat is old, scratched up and missing under seat support rubber
2- the three feet long air vent is all rusted (very disgusting)
3- there’s a small hole ( looks like a vent) right above the shower head has water dripping
At this time we thought it was late so we just went to bed.
When we checked it the next morning, I told the receptionist about the issue and show him the pictures, and all he said was thank you for letting us know.

I loved having a split room (bathroom between two beds) as it makes it seem like you have two bedrooms in one room. Perfect for not hearing family members who snore lol. Sandra had our room prepped perfectly! She did an amazing job cleaning it and everything was so nice. The view was absolutely beautiful!! Make sure you get a water view room. Their beach was perfect for a sunrise view. From check-in to checkout, everyone was so kind. Definitely recommend staying here!!

Check-in was quick and friendly. Our room had two bedrooms, connected by an open area with microwave, fridge and sink, and also had a sofa bed in one of the rooms. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of storage with surfaces for luggage, etc. Our room had a balcony view of the lake and the Mackinac Bridge. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with a bright and spacious bath and nice toiletries. We didn’t have a chance to use the pool, but it was larger than in most hotels, as shown in the pictures, and had a hot tub adjacent to it. For those traveling in the warmer months, there is beach access for swimming in the lake, and fire pits and seating to enjoy on the beach. Breakfast is not provided, but with the room priced so reasonably it is easy to get a full meal at one of the many nearby restaurants. Our stay was perfect, and I would book this room again the next time we visit Mackinaw City.

The facility is located in a perfect area. We stayed at the hotel two separate times. Once June and later in August. Both says one of the two tvs did not work. The rooms have not been updated in a decade or two so no usb power. During our fist stay my wife pointed out one of the smoke detectors in the room was open and did not have a battery installed.

Over all it wasn't the worst place i have stayed at but have to admit we wont be back untill they update the property.
