The midge flies were everywhere and rooms were not clean. I moved to another room and was charged additional. The staff was nice and breakfast was ok. I would not stay here again.
Linda
This hotel is very old, outdated, not well maintained and dirty. It’s actually an old motel. The stand up shower was worse than a campground shower. Breakfast was not good. This is very over priced and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I feel very angry I spent my money here and it didn’t look like the photos.
Kayce
Hot tub had way too many chemicals in it and burned my eyes after 5 minutes of being in there! Staff was nice but the building has absolutely seen better days
Alexei
The stuff was very nice, willing to help you all the time. Good job! Nice room, breakfast was great. The only thing I didn't like was the water of the pool. It needs maintenance., and I think the price of the Hotel room was a little bit high.
Amy
The staff were fantastic! The breakfast was excellent as was the service. The property is older than it looks in its photos. The A/C unit was very loud but worked well. The owner should consider updates. The pool was greenish one day, but the staff got on it right away! They were all so helpful and friendly.
Marissa
The stay was great! Good room, nice breakfast, right on the water. Just be prepared for a lot of bugs!
John
The location is outstanding with great views of Mackinaw Island and gorgeous Lake Huron. The rooms and overall facilitiy need refurbishing. The crew were excellent. Parking was good. The breckfast was good with lots of selections. It has a nice beach. The fitness room has several cardio machine but 1 extremely old universal weight. Not good.
Jason
Looks a little ran down
Brenda
beautiful lakefront view from our room and we were able to drive around and load our belongings easily from the patio door since we were on the ground floor, comfortable beds, nice hot tub and pool, breakfast was great, helpful staff
Ana
The staff was super nice, breakfast was ok the view was amazing the only awful thing was the amount of mosquitoes in later afternoon in your door ready to entrance the room one point we have over 30 inside my room and 100s in the door. Very stressful.
Larry
We have stayed at this location a few times and it has always been excellent. We would stay again
Devin
Standard hotel with a great view and mosquitos
Brian
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Called a shuttle to the ferry docks to Mackinac Island for you if you let them know in advance. I would recommend!
Vrushali
Not clean enough for families
Steve
Room was very nice and clean. Only annoying thing was this exhaust fan in the bathroom had a rattling noise whenever you turned on the light. Other than that, it was a very nice place to stay at.
Ezhilan
Clean room, Decent stay and friendly service.
Kurt
It could use some updates. The bed was a little squeaky, The windows could be cleaned. There was a lot of dog droppings out in the yard.
April
Staff were VERY friendly and helpful 😊We had an amazing sleep in the cozy bed. We will be back!!!!
Chad
The staff here is amazing and very accommodating at all times thank you.
Lori
Our room was clean and housekeeping came to freshen up towels and trash regularly. The ac was a window unit and when it ran there was a mildew smell but it maintained a cool and comfortable climate. There were two tiny spiders building a web behind the sliding door curtain and when we used the sliding door to the beach, the tracks were filled with dead gnats. The property could use some updating but we had a nice stay for 4 nights. We just needed a comfortable place to sleep as we were out all day. We didn’t use the pool but it was busy. The breakfast was good and we visited it 3 of 4 mornings.
Longchen
check in was nice. friendly staff. we brought ferry tickets and they were able to call a shuttle bus to take us to the ferry. we came as a big family. my room was ok but one of the rooms outlets were not working. the pool was clean. breakfast was adequate.
RICHARD
Wonderful lake view . Large balconies. Breakfast staff amazing.
Eric
Staff was very friendly.
Jessica
Pictures are misleading. I would never stay here again. The main reason that I booked this property was because of the beachfront and playground. Upon my arrival, immediately noticed that the lobby area wasn’t very well maintained, nor was the outside of the building. I was extremely disappointed and noticed that there was no longer a Swingset on site and the beach has been poorly maintained and was infested with nearly 100 geese. Literally no outdoor space whatsoever to enjoy. The only positive I will say is that the bedding seem to be OK. However, the room was not cleaned. We had numerous spiderwebs, not only on the balcony that were covered with bugs and clearly been there for a long time. But there was also mold in our bathroom around the toilet and the wallpaper was peeling in our room. The AC unit that is built into the wall, also said that the filter needed to be cleaned.
Kathy
The room was clean. The beds were comfortable but the pillows sucked. they flaten out and could not get comfortable on the neck. Breakfast was good had every thing for people on restricted diets.
Paul
The rooms were updated and very nice. My handicapped room, however, had a loose toilet seat, did not have a hand held shower, a very high bed and was a bit difficult. It would not work for a person in a wheelchair.
Ian
Clean, good room for a night. Decent options for breakfast but very simple. Nice view of the lake. Very bare bones and slight mildew scent. The outlets were unable to hold our chargers.
Peter
Staff was nice and helpful..Property is a bit old and not in the best repair on the exterior. Room cleaning staff did an excellent job on care of the room.
Zachary
Splooge marks on the side of the bed. Bathroom was clean but in poor shape and the shower did not drain.
Kimberly
Front desk employees were very friendly and helpful! Free hot breakfast had many choices. Property grounds were accommodating for relaxing outside by the lake front although we visited during the “midge fly season” and there was no way to avoid them but to stay inside.
Dawn
staff was very friendly and I felt like I was staying with family! we will be back
Jessica
The room was old and unclean. It was lake front but had a door that didn't close properly instead of a sliding glass door like other lake front rooms. Shower was old with a shower head too short and the sink did not drain properly. The couch and carpet were filthy, base boards falling off the wall, and there was an old blood stain on the top blanket. We could hear people in the pool late at night through the wall and cigarette smokers beneath our room. I would not rebook.
Austin
Recommend to my Family, Friends, and Fans.
Abigail
We loved using the pool and hot tub. The hotel did need more water add to it
Peter
All of it,!

Nice, convenient location with a very nice lakeside patio view. Will visit again!

The grounds are beautiful and great for dogs.
The hallway smelled of cannabis and there isn’t an elevator. The room was dated and doors hard to open.

Old Delapitated and I would MOT STAY AGAIN.
Very Very OUTDATED and Not at all what I Expect at a Wyndham Property.
Outdates Rooms, Bathrooms and a Patio wood door that I can't Imagine being up to code.
It needs to be GUTTED COMPLETELY and redone.
VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING

This is a good place to stay. They offered discount tickets for Mackinaw Island ferry rides. The pool area was clean and the pool and hot tub were good.
The room was large.

We were very disappointed to discover that this \"hotel\" is actually a motel (with exterior room doors)! Front desk staff was unfriendly and unwelcoming when we arrived. Our room light did not work, the safety latch on the door had been broken off, and there were multiple dead bugs in various places in our room. The fitted sheet on our bed had large, dark stains in the center. Breakfast room was very hot and breakfast choices were mediocre. They had a toaster but no bread for toasting, only bagels. The entire facility seemed run down. I will never stay at a Baymont hotel again!
JESSICA
I would love to say we will be back to this hotel. This is our second stay winin 2months at thia hotel. The first experience was okay except for the pool and hottub area. The hottub was luke warm. We thought perhaps this was a fluke and our room was nice so we came back with a fall trip up north. The hottub again was cold and the pool was very cold. The temp in the hottub would have been nice if it was the pool water. Safly this was not the case. If you are looking for a quality hotel with a hottub to relax in or pool to swim in go elsewhere. If not, this hotel is perfect for you. Nice beds. Decent continental breakfast. Good view of the lake. For the price a working hottub and decent temperature for a pool would be nice. No, we are not picky. We swim in lake superior! This is just not acceptable for the money.
Amy
Check in they guy did not inform me of breakfast times, pool hours etc until I asked.
Room was ok for the price, but it was the last room so we didn’t have an option..

The room was very comfortable and clean. The folks at the front deck made check in smooth and easy.
Joy
Breakfast and lobby were clean but building was grimy and in need of repairs. Room had overpowering smell of cleaner. Did appreciate large refrigerator
Vatche
I wasn’t impressed I will not recommend it to nobody.
Morgan
The guy who checked us in was very nice! Breakfast was good. The pool area was nice and clean and the pool was warm- it sits right off the lake which was also a nice view!
Robert C
The place was disgusting very run down broken furniture very unclean
Dale
Excellent breakfast. Very friendly and informative staff. Will stay here again next year,!
Dennis
Enjoyed breakfast outside and watching the sunrise
Ronei
Room was spacious & clean but shower a bit worn & a bit of a musty smell when first walk in & bed extremely hard
Samantha
Check in was a breeze and staff was super friendly! We didn’t use the pool or hot tub cause we got back to the hotel late but looked awesome! Will come back when we are back in town :)
Richard
Great stay with our dog! Very friendly, helpful staff. Clean! Nice place to walk on the water's edge.
Sarah
Beautiful view of lake. Good breakfast. Very large rooms. Most importantly very impressive staff! I accidentally left money on the bed. Housekeeping cleaned and the money was still on the bed. I highly recommend this hotel.
Lisa
We reserved an upstairs room facing Lake Huron. The hotel provides plenty of options to sit and enjoy the spectacular lakefront views. Our room was clean, spacious, and allowed us to bring our dogs. The pool area is all windows, so you can see the lake feet away, while swimming. A nice breakfast is served. Highly recommend.
Thomas
Staff at Hotel was great, only bad thing we got put in the old wing, so you had to go outside to get to the pool area.
Roger
Location is good, staff was attentive and quick to respond to our key cards not working. Lock batteries needed replacement, so we were given a different room. Breakfast was very good, with a nice selection, and kept filled and cleaned.
Brian
Lake front view is great. Not great if you’re pulling a trailer.
TROY
The location is great and has a great veiw. Pool was nice the kiddos really enjoyed. However our room smelt like wet dog and there was a dog barking in the bottom room quite contunually. We told the front desk and they did come and spray the room which helped but i just felt dirty the whole time. When you go outside of the rooms and walk past the ac units sticking out of the windows they all smell like wet dog.
Mary
only issue with this hotel is there was not internet in the hotel room but the staff was wonderful and got it to work
Kimberly
Only 1 suggestion
Staying that close to the water waws amazing. Everything was great. I have only 1 suggestion, an elevator! We were on the lower level. Stairs are tough for Senior Citizens!!
Mark
The property was very nice and reasonably priced. Great staff and location right on the shores of Lake Huron.

Nice & affordable
We arrived later in the evening and just for 1 night, the bed was very comfortable and clean.
The setup was nice & liked the shower & toilet was by itself.
Room was alright on cleanliness.

Breakfast was good. Pet friendly. Bed fairly comfortable, few cobwebs noted in room itself.

Needs Some Updating
No plugs by bedside for charging. Shower rocked -sounded like going to go through floor. No elevator
Breakfast was very good. Staff was very friendly

It was a great experience, especially the staff was so cooperative. I left my iron and some cash on the table and the staff called me inform that I left my stuff and money so I really appreciate your honesty.
Christina
Very friendly staff and great area.

Lived it!
We loved our stay at this hotel. Although it was an older hotel, it was quiet and very peaceful. And the views were amazing. Just what we needed. We’ll definitely stay here again if we are in this area.
Kathleen
Even though I had a courtside room I wandered to the back of the hotel and the view was breathtaking!
Catherine
Hotel was on the lake but my lake view room was more of a parking lot view . Room was clean but appears dated . Would not stay there again would look for other accommodations . Was hoping for an unobscured view . Staff was friendly

Nice Lakeview property with plenty of seagulls to catch your attention. Mexican cantina next door in walking distance. Inside of rooms/hallways need some updates but very affordable campared to next property by hundreds of dollars. Great breakfast options!

Great location!
Nice spot in St. Ignace. The pool and hot tub were nice and clean. The view was great from our room. The staff was very welcoming. The hotel itself just felt a bit tired and smelled a bit musty throughout.
James
I did not get a reservation. When I got there they said I did not have one
Jean-Claude
Beautiful view if your room faces the lake.
The property as a whole needs a refresh.

The room had midge flies and had to eliminate them. The room was clean but insufficient overhead lighting should be addressed. The location was good and was easy access to the ferry docks nearby.
Billy
Great size rooms and perfect view. The continental breakfast was great my kids loved it! Pool was cold but refreshing. There is no hot tub but that didn’t bother us.
Kim
Location was excellent. Took me a bit of walking around to find the room. Inconvenient not to have an elevator... went around building to bring luggage in. I did have an employee offer to carry my bag
Annette
Parking was easy, staff was friendly. Cleanliness needs to be more of a priority. There were flys & spiders all over some dead some alive. Carpet needs to be shampooed
Margaret
The room smelled of pet hair and very musty. The door to the bathroom would not close either. The breakfast area was musty smelling and dirty.
The outside area tables were dirty too. Did not even look at the lounge chairs to see what they looked like. For the amount charged, this was one of the worst stays I've experienced. Baymont usually has a good reputation so all of this really surprised me. Sorry for my honesty

Our room was not clean or up to date at all…lots of bugs especially in the tub/shower…will not EVER book again….totally not as described online..
Jessica
The view of the lake from the property was amazing and there was a nice deck off of our room with a table. The room for 6 people was very spacious. The pool was cold but appeared clean but the room could have used more ventilation. The breakfast was a hot breakfast but was limited.
Kara
Nice pool and good breakfast. Room very spacious.
Denise
So much poop everywhere lawn chairs needed to be sprayed off
Went to walk in the swimming area had a horrible smell and really full of moss and slippery film

The air conditioner in our room didn’t seem to work well. Other than that, everything was wonderful. Lots of dining options, our main reason for staying was to visit the island.
John
Great view too!
Jeanine
Great location on the water. We had a suite for three adult travelers, the room was very spacious and perfect for our needs. Only thing to consider is the fact it is 2 stories and an elevator is not available. Beautiful view with numerous sitting options outside.

Poor experience
This hotel has no elevators, very weird set up. Tv did not work and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Air conditioning very loud. Breakfast area dirty. I recommend not staying here. Pictures make it look nice but isn’t!
Shengying
The room smelled terrible. When asked to switch room, the answer is no one available. The staff can’t do much since the manager was not available
Jessi
The room looked clean but smelled so strong of cheap air freshener I got such a sinus headache it was terrible. Our tv didn’t work and they couldn’t get it to work so just left us without a tv. The hallways and stairways were not cleaned well. Sorry but this was a No for me.
Miriam
The property was not well-maintained. The door to the building where our room was located was broken, along with many other items that needed to be maintained or replaced in the room and around the property.

Room smelled like mildew, especially when wall unit AC kicked on. Shower curtain had mildew on it. Floors when dirty and nasty… do not walk in your bare feet in the rooms. Pillows were small square, decorative type pillows. Beds uncomfortable.
