Staff were amazing. Ask for Leidy - she was an amazing beach crew member who went out of her way for my family. Property was clean and beach views were beautiful. Food was our only criticism- basic buffet was very school cafeteria (worse actually) skip Italian restaurant all together

We had a big room, plenty of space for a family of five. Amazing views from the balcony. Food was good, but could be much better if they kept the buffet food hot. Pool and waterslides were both great, the kids had so much fun.

The resort was exactly what we were looking for. Traveled as a couple. Resort was clean, relaxed, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The beach was very wide and beautiful. Not a rocky beach and a nice sized swimming area. This is not a big party resort which is also what we were looking for. With the water park/water slides, this is a great family resort. Lots of kids. The food was as you would expect at an all inclusive. It was good, some really good items, but standard all inclusive at this price point. Our goal was to get out of the cold and enjoy the beach and drinks and this was a perfect choice. Easy 10 min walk (safe walk) to jump on the Ferry to go over to Isla Mujeres. We did not reserve the Level experience this time but our partial ocean view room was perfect! Full living room, very large master suite with a balcony was more than we expected. House keeping kept the room sparkling clean every day and restocked the mini bar daily. Let me say again, the staff was excellent at this resort!

We had an amazing 7 night stay at Melia casa maya. Family of four our kids are 10 & 8.

Staff are very friendly and helpful- we loved the atmosphere.

Drinks are all good. Bartenders all amazing.
I wish there were more restaurants tho we missed having Asian type of food as there were none.

Beautiful beach. Clean and calm right in front of the property but getting beach chairs were bit tricky. Were all taken by 9. I asked a guy and he said they put their towel at 6:30.

The general store was ridiculously overpriced so I suggest everyone go elsewhere or use uber to get everything (still save a lot if money)

No coin operated laundry available and laundry service by the resort is very expensive which might be a dealbreaker for some. Especially when you travelling with kids.

Overall we had a great time at Melia casa maya.

Oh if you are getting resort credit by booking on Expedia do not even bother about it. Went to spa treatment because I had $150 but They would not let me use it and had to pay out of my pocket at the spot. And when I asked about it at the guest service they did not know what to do with the credit.

We paid a premium price expecting a high-quality experience, but we left totally disappointed. The \"renewed\" buildings and rooms are just a superficial paste-and-paint job; they still feel old, and fixtures like faucets and toilets were never replaced.
The most unacceptable part was the safety. The kids' area is old and neglected. The pool needs repainting, and the slides are NOT safe. My 9-year-old son used the slide once and got an ugly scrape on his leg, which completely ruined our vacation vibe.
Furthermore, the constant harassment from the \"Circle\" membership sellers (the modern version of 90's timeshares) is exhausting. They are annoying, aggressive, and do not respect your vacation time.
To be fair, the main food was very good. However, the desserts were poor, and the entertainment was severely lacking—no high-quality shows, just someone singing by the pool. This is an expensive hotel that absolutely does not deliver the value, safety, or peace you pay for. Avoid.

This place is really special. Staff was very attentive from the moment we arrived. Amenities and food are endless. Kids loved the Waterpark they spent hours enjoying. The towels at the pool are soft, fluffy and long. We had a 2BR/2BA Suite it was very spacious and clean. We really enjoyed the robes and slippers in the room. I was just a little upset that we had to check out 2 days early due to the storm on the eastern seaboard as our flights got canceled and re-booked, when we checked out we were told that we would be able to get refunded for those 2 days however when we got home and tried to get it we were denied. Only reason i have 4* and not 5.

The room was beautiful and clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. The buffet is needs a huge makeover. Not enough selection, food is recycled too often. Meat is dry and overcooked. Same food everyday.
The system they use to make reservations for the restaurants is poor. We tried all week to get into the Italian restaurant. We stood in line, we used the app, we tried a few mins before as instructed, but were never able to get a spot.
Our biggest grievance was the food. We travel extensively and this was by far, the worst food in any resort.

Upon arrival, the staff was not very friendly. Check in went smoothly. We were told to speak with Patricia to make restaurant reservations. We explained that our group was only staying for one night, but she was very rude and unaccommodating, which left us feeling frustrated.

We decided to go to the bar, where the experience immediately improved. The bartender, Cristano, completely changed the vibe—he was extremely friendly and made excellent drinks.

Later, we went to the Merkadito restaurant, where the food was disappointing and served cold. One of the girls in our group grabbed a brownie for dessert and unfortunately found a hair in it. The manager, Rosalia, handled the situation very well. She was kind, apologized, and addressed the issue professionally. She also helped check us in and managed to get us reservations at another restaurant that had been marked as “fully booked,” which we appreciated.

Dinner at the Italian restaurant was also disappointing. The food lacked quality, and the pizza tasted like it had been microwaved. Overall, the food throughout the hotel was very underwhelming.

We ended the night back at the bar, and once again the bar staff saved the experience. Darinel provided great service and truly turned the night around for us. While the bar staff was outstanding, the overall service and food quality at the hotel were very disappointing.

We stayed in a Melia Suite with an ocean view, and the room was excellent — spacious, clean, and with a truly beautiful sea view. Overall, we liked the hotel: the territory is well maintained, the pool area is great, and the drinks were good (except for the beer).

However, there were several disappointing moments. We noticed that some staff members provided noticeably worse service if tips were not given every time, which negatively affected the overall experience.

The restaurant “The Grill” was very disappointing. The meat was undercooked, and we had to wait around 40 minutes for our order, which is unacceptable.

Another issue was at the front desk. We were promised an earlier check-in than 3:00 pm, but in reality we only got access to our room at 3:05 pm. I am not upset about the timing itself, but I did not appreciate being given false expectations. If we had been told from the beginning that early check-in was not possible, we would have planned our time differently.

Overall, the hotel has strong potential, but better consistency in service and more honest communication would greatly improve the guest experience.

Food was clean but limited options, also tables and chairs were not clean properly at restaurants between people . Kids high chair most of the time dirty. Pool is cold not heated and no hot tub. No ramp to take stroller to the beach or the water park from inside. Kids club lack toys and entertainment options it only had timed activities. No coffee shops. And icecream for the kids was only served in a hidden place it was like a hidden gem and most of the time not available . The best thing about the resort if the beach and the clean rooms and friendly staff .

Mis hijos y yo visitamos para celebrar mi cumple y las fiestas patrias. Es un hotel muy bonito con habitaciones muy grandes y modernas! El buffet es bueno y la comida estuvo deliciosa, pero le falta mas variedad de fruta. El personal es muy amable y atento. La playa es hermosa y solo un par de dias hubo zargazo desafortunadamente pero los demas dias estuvo perfecto. El area de toboganes es pequeña pero mis hijos la disfrutaron. Sería mejor si esa area estuviera frente o mas cerca de la playa y no en la parte frontal del hotel. El servicio de niñeras es bueno y está incluido, pero mis hijos solo quisieron estar conmigo porque ya estan mas grandes y solo lo usamos unas horas. La alberca está muy bonita y la temperatura del agua es la más perfecta que hemos tenido en la vida! Todas las noches tienen un show en el lobby. A mi no me interesan mucho esos shows pero si lo disfrutamos mucho en la noche Mexicana! Bailaron padrisimo. En general, nos gustó mucho nuestra estancia.

I was excited to find a newly remodeled “all inclusive” resort to celebrate my 40th birthday. The facility is clean. However the food was beyond terrible. So much so, that we stopped eating at the buffet and paid for the better food at the resort. Also equally disgusting. The beds are extremely firm, everything is either over cooked or under seasoned. They also don’t tell you when you check in that you need to turn your wrist band (which is your room key) in at check out. If you don’t, they make you pay $100. We asked multiple times to speak with the hotel manager, and despite saying “he will be up to see you at 10 am” he never showed. Skip this resort. The waterpark area was nice for the kids, however seating is limited. Also very grateful for the doctor on staff there, he was able to treat my whole family.

Well the only positive is the sweets and coffee they have, otherwise all is terrible. Poor quality rooms, poor cleaning service...we found broken glass in the room when we arrived, limited foods options, and entertainment program and service are awful.
Workers there are looking for tips to work or help you, otherwise you get poor service. They only speak Spanish and help spanish speaking guests. Rooms are spacious if you get the LEVEL, which we did, but poor setting of things in the room and cheap made.
The beach is dirty and had things that looked like poop and when we checked, we found out they have sewerage shortage in Isla mujeres right across and dumping into the sea water. It was gross to swim there!
They have one big pool without a hot tub.
Food was bad and no variety.
Concierge didn't even acknowledge us till one day later and was off 2 days of our 6 days stay.
Better to spend a few more dollars and go to a different resort!
They're short staffed and have limited restaurants' space for how busy they get.
The wate park is nice with tons of kids so I'd say for people who want a contained space to stay and kids to enjoy a water park all day but don't care about anything else , this is the place for them.

Highly recommend Melia Casa Maya. The staff are very friendly. The restaurants had very good food. Room service was quick. Drinks were easily accessible. Pool was very nice and beach was fantastic. They have a decently large waterpark which the kids enjoyed. Melia Casa was a smaller hotel, which we really enjoyed. It WAS NOT over crowded and it was easy to get dinner reservations every single night. The hotel was very nice and clean.
There was always a walk-up snack bar with lots of food to choose from. There was also a poolside menu from 11am to 4pm which guests can order from and have food delivered right to their lounge chairs.
We had a concierge with our package which we really didn't use but she was great to have in a pinch. Shout out to Lily.
Shout out to Jafet at the front check-in area, Francisco at the gym, Alexis & Erik at the Bars, the entertainment team and all the other staff which were great.
Highly recommend this hotel.

This resort was absolutely amazing in every way.
There was entertainment every night, and the place itself is very modern and beautiful.
The food was incredible, I already miss the steak, salmon, and juicy shrimp 😋
The restaurant atmosphere was great, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

I only have one small comment, the pool could use some heating. Sometimes it gets windy, so the water feels cold. Personally, I couldn’t swim in the pool.
However, the beach was absolutely beautiful, the water was warm, and the best part is that it’s very close there’s no long walk from the pool to the beach.

We had a fantastic stay at Meliá Casa Maya Cancun. The resort is clean, beautifully maintained, and perfectly located in the Hotel Zone with easy access to the beach and lagoon views. The staff were consistently warm, attentive, and eager to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

We stayed at Meliá Casa Maya Cancun for a week with my two older kids and really enjoyed it. The resort is very clean, modern, and newly renovated. It’s a smaller and quieter place, which was perfect for us.

We booked a basic room, and it was surprisingly large, very clean, comfortable, and had a nice view. Honestly, we didn’t see any reason to upgrade—the basic room was more than good enough for us.

The staff were super friendly and always helpful. We liked the food, and the desserts were especially good. The beach and pool were great and never felt crowded.

If you don’t like big, busy resorts and prefer something calm and comfortable, this is a great option.

Amazing room, beautiful view, daily throughout cleaning. All the staff were so nice and friendly. The entertainment was really good and a lot of variety. The buffet is small compared to other resorts but the quality of the food was good and loved the selection of Mexican food. The beach is nice and there are plenty of chairs for sll the customers. The pool is super nice and the snacks and bar very convenient. No issues to book the specialty restaurants. We also booked an outing at the hotel and it was fantastic. Overall great experience.

We didn’t have a good experience and will not go back to this resort. The only positive thing out of the whole stay was the staff. Resort, if you could call it that is small. All the shows they have planned throughout the week happen inside of the lobby area. Idk if you’ve ever been in a normal resort which always has a dedicated area for performances, but this one does not. The pool is a long rectangular that has a small shallow area, which is ok for kids but it’s not a dedicated kids pool. The water park is not great either, especially the smaller kids one. When you go down the slide you basically fall on your butt on a concrete with shallow water. My kids went down once and said it hurts too much. Food choices were not much better, I can’t say I enjoyed anything other than breakfast, but how hard is it to make egg omelet and bacon? We haven’t had a chance to visit the steakhouse restaurant bc they were booked the 3 nights we were there. We visited Italian and Mediterranean which were ok but nothing to rave about. The weather was bad as well with rain and strong wind the entire time we were there, I know that’s not the resorts fault and I’m not blaming it on them, but there was nothing to keep people entertained. My suggestion is look for something else to book. There’s plenty of resorts to choose from. Hope this helps. I’d like to mention Yulissa, Oscar and Ivan out of the staff, but like I said all the workers were super nice and helpful

The rooms smell musty, maybe mold? The entire hotel except the reception area and bar had an overpowering musty smell. They placed plugged in air fresheners in the reception area to mask the smell. Staff were very friendly and polite! The food selection was better than most hotels. The entertainment was lacking.

Food was underwhelming because of only 2 restaurants which means the buffet should’ve been bigger but no the buffet was one of the smallest I’ve ever seen. The waterpark was great for the kids and adults. The pool was also great for kids as it has a shallow section. The beach on the north side of the strip is more of a bay so it’s calm without any waves (good for kids but not good if you’re looking for waves).

The staff was courteous. The stove top in room 1418 needs some much needed cleaning or possibly needs to be replaced, it has been trashed and will some be unusable if not taken care of.

Good was awful, buffet is small, Italian restaurant was almost inedible. After our reservation we had to go to the buffet to eat because we couldn’t eat any of the dishes we ordered. Staff is very rude, we never felt like we were on an all inclusive because there were so many limitations. Bar doesn't open until after 11, breakfast doesn’t start until after 7, at one point during the day there is nothing to snack on. The hotel is WAYYY understaffed making the employees bitter. Bad hotel management altogether. There were only 2 elevators and 1 was broken the entire week we were there. Stairwell was unsafe to walk up and down, very damp and slippery. The only reason I’m not giving this 0 stars is because the beach was nice and the cleaning ladies were very helpful and nice as well. Even the shows were subpar. You also are told to return beach and pool towels or you will be charged but they don’t charge you, they use scare tactics to get you to return towels because they don’t have a towel service. Never truly felt welcomed. For sure will stay at a different hotel in the future, this was our first Cancun experience and we were so disappointed.

This resort was absolutely amazing. The pictures on the website does not do the ambience any justice. From the moment we arrived at the resort until we arrive back at the airport, we were waited on hand and foot. The concierge was amazing, the staff was amazing, and the food was great. we chose this resort to celebrate both birthdays and our anniversary, which was a great choice. Every day the hotel provided us with celebration treats to include chocolate, covered strawberries, fruits, and complementary bottles of champagne with champagne flutes.b We stayed for three nights and four days and could not have chosen a better resort. The room was thoroughly clean and we receive room service every day of our stay. We indulge in booking a swim out room, which was absolutely amazing. The only downside was that the water in the swim out pool was freezing cold. The community pool Water was a bit warmer. If I had to recommend one thing about this resort, I would recommend that they make the swim out pools heated.

The resort was very beautiful. The staff did an amazing job and the food was fantastic with a range of options available. We stayed at \"The Level\" which included a number of additional perks such as a couple additional dining options. I don't know if it was entirely worth the additional costs, but for us it was nice to be able to have full access rather than the limitations of the cheaper rooms. We loved the pool, beach and waterpark. In terms of improvements, I would love to see better quality of desserts as they were all under par, as well as additional dining options. I was craving real Mexican tacos but it seemed that they were only really available at breakfast. We would absolutely return to this resort though, we had an amazing time.

The hotel, property, staff and restaurants were above all expectations. The balcony was nice in the morning, but we could not enjoy it during the afternoon or evening because of the restaurant ventilation being directly below. I can’t say enough about the wonderful staff.

Property is small but nice, pretty well maintained. Beach is swimmable, shallow enough for kids, no large waves, it is clear, color is a bit green but still nice. Service was excellent most of the time. But there were a couple of moody bar tenders, the beach chair guy wouldn't move an umbrella and one day, no seats in the regular beach area. Food was decent, everyone found something to eat but sizing and presentation of food varies from day to day.

The cleanliness of the resort is equisite. Bonus points for the powder-like sand by the beach, my little boy really enjoyed a lot. Food options are also great, different everyday. My only suggestion, more kid-friendly spaces (Kidsdom is under reno); Hopefully some playarea as well by the beach.

I'm going to cut to the chase since my review was too long so I had to edit it twice.I paid just over 2,000 for 7 day package with my wife and I with flights included through expedia. So, taking that into consideration, I rated this hotel highly; because for what I paid for I certainly got my money's worth and considering I read some reviews that caused me hesitate-It certainly exceeded our expectations. Food-wise, while the other two resorts I stayed at had at least one more restaurant to offer and somewhat of a bigger sized buffet, My wife and I, including 3 other families that joined didn't lack finding something we all enjoyed and were quite happy with! There were two restaurants to choose from besides the buffet. There was some confusion with the 3rd restaurant we wanted to try called \"The Grill\" they eventually told us its closed for a few days so we never tried it. There wasn't a dedicated coffee or ice cream stand like the last place I went to had, but whenever we asked for a specialty coffee at the restaurant or bar, they did a great job at it, same with ice cream, if you ask a server they bring you some. The Ocean-Water was crystal clear and see-through for at least the first 40-60 feet with hardly any waves, perfect for kids! The pool was great, it was maybe 22 feet wide and 120ft long, and its depths varied so that my one year old son could walk around in the shallow section which he loved! The water park was cool. Rooms were clean! For the price overall-5 star!

Most of all I would like to praise the staff, every single interaction we had was positive and I have nothing but praise for them. The food is also amazing with variety throughout our stay.
